Strange Fish in Weird Places!
So, we've got some warm waters moving up to the SoCal coastline! With that warmer water comes some marine animals that you may not be used to seeing on your dive outings. There have been sightings of larger predatory fish, big schools hanging out longer than normal and species that are well out of their normal range of travel as well as some animals you may just say "What the heck is that?!?"
As responsible divers of our community, we have teamed up with California State University Monterrey Bay and California Undersea Imagery Archives to help them document and crowd-source the effort of observing these organisms that seem out of place!
The flyer below gives us further information, but also has some requirements to help in the data collection of the effort!
If you have found a weird species in our California waters, then stop in at their website today and submit your findings!
